ID REQUIREMENTS

In California, you must have your documents notarized in person and with a valid acceptable form of ID. 

Here are acceptable IDs: 

• State Issued Driver's License or ID

• US or Foreign Passport*

• US Military Card*

• An employee ID from CA city/county/state*

• Inmate ID card

• ID card issued by federally recognized tribal government*

*Items listed with an asterisk must also contain a photo, description of the person, signature of the person, and an identifying document number.
