WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO GET SOMETHING "NOTARIZED'?
The State of California has notaries to prevent fraud! We are a third party to a signing to 1) confirm the identity of the signer, 2) to make sure the signer is willing, and 3) to make sure the signer understands the action.
Please note: I am a Notary Public in the State of California and I do not have a license to practice law. Therefore, as I am not an attorney, I am unable to give you advice or unlawfully practice law.
If you need to consult with an attorney, I am happy to assist you with a referral if available.
